Tips To Working With Your Special Needs Child At Home
For many families with special needs children, extra learning time may be happening. Here are some tips to make that at-home learning easier.:
Children with special needs thrive in a small group with specialized instruction throughout the
school day. Through the design of my Skills Binder, I have created a way for parents to
continue that instruction at home; in the evening, on weekends and during vacations.

I first realized that my son learned differently during the height of the pandemic when school
became virtual. I witnessed almost immediately that he needed more small group and one on one
instruction with certain modifications. The first time I spoke with Southern Raised Learning’s
founder, Meredith Rosenberg, I felt like she understood what I was looking for in a school.
Meredith possesses an exemplary passion for children with special needs and sees to it that all
students at her school thrive.
